Flowers without calyx (tongue-shaped petals) and flowers with calyx without pedicels are harvested at the time of full bloom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Drying:<\/strong>&nbsp;The flowers are dried naturally in thin layers, in a dark and airy room. Artificially in a drying room, where the temperature must not exceed 40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Active substances:<\/strong>&nbsp;Calendula flowers contain triterpene compounds such as faradiol or glycosides of oleanolic acid. The essential oils contained in the drug are based on cadinol and toreyol. Yellow and yellow-orange pigments such as carotenoids, flavonoids and xanthophylls are contained in high amounts.
